I like Skype!
I've been meaning to do this since I experimented with an early beta version of Skype in New York. So, since I was going insane marking papers, I took a break, downloaded, and installed it. I like it! Great quality audio and now video for free from computer-to-computer, free chat, and really cheap computer-to-phone calling. So, all my dear friends separated from me by inordinate distances, please download and install Skype and then look me up online!

I've heard it's great, though haven't tried it yet. Krista's 80 year old grandfather uses it, which suggests to me its user friendly, but then, he's pretty savvy. My friends that live in Russia use it all the time, and it helps them keep in touch with friends and family.
zeke and i use it to talk to my parents in holland and my friend in japan. the only problem for us is that our laptop is a bit old and after a little while of talking, it's working so hard that the fan comes on really loud and they can't hear us anymore. but beyond that it's great. and very user friendly. and when the talking doesn't work, we just use it to chat online.
